Mother died May 14, 1867, Maggie was only two months old but mother did not die from childbirth. She had a liver trouble which was the cause of her death. I suppose her weakened condition had something to do with it too. I remember seeing Dr. Dorwin cup her in the back. What a foolish old time custom of remedy. She was 45 years old when she died.
