Mrs Hannah Zirkle was found dead in her bed Monday morning. She had retired the night before feeling as well as usual and probably passed away in her sleep without much pain. The remains were laid to rest in the Pleasant Hill cemetery Tuesday. Obituary notice next week.

Obituary

Hannah Schaffer Zirkle was born in Shenandoah county, VA, Sept. 12, 1813, and died at her daughter, Mrs. Leonard, Jan 25, 1904. The funeral services were held in the Pleasant Hill church the 26th, conducted by the pastor. Interment was made in the Pleasant Hill cemetery.

She was married to JG Zirkle in 1836. They came to Ohio in 1846 where they resided until 1869 when they moved to Kansas settling on the place northwest of town where she has since made her home. To them were born six children, two sons and four daughters, all of who survive her, except one daughter. She also leaves one brother and one sister.

She was converted when but a little girl and joined the Lutheran church. But about twelve years ago. T-She joined the United Brethren church at Pleasant Hill remaining a member until her death. Her faith was unshaken in Him who she had followed during the long years of her life and the last few years she had been simply waiting the time of her "departure", which came in the early dawn of the morning probably while she was sleeping, no one knowing the hour.

She was a devoted other, a kind, helpful neighbor and esteemed by all who knew her. The family have the sympathy of a host of friends.
