Pleasant Hill Cemetery

One quarter mile north of the intersection of 89th (Richland Road) on Ratner Road.

This tract of land was deeded to the newly-formed Pleasant Hill Cemetery Association on March 12, 1877 by Jesse Bushony and his wife, Elizabeth.  The officers of this association were William Zirkle, president; A. A. Disney, secretary; and Jacob Zirkle, treasurer.

Pleasant Hill Cemetery has several interesting features.  Three of the people buried there were known to have been born in the 1700's.  Two of the Zirkles buried there died when they were 99 years old.  One woman who died was a widow for 53 years!
