| In a note with the picture, Norma Treace said that her
mother (Erma Marie Pollan Standerfer) not only knew Ruth Millus but that she
liked and admired her.
According to Erma, Ruth was a mid-wife. She delivered many babies. Our grandmother Martha went home to Bengal to have all of her earlier babies. Ruth was also very knowledgeable about doctoring with herbs. People came to her for advice. |
